This latest Kindle Wi-Fi: www.myamazonkindle.net – which is smaller than Kindle 2 but with the same 6 in screen – is priced at only 9! It also comes with a 50 percent brighter screen, improved screen contrast, and better performance with faster page turns. This latest Amazon eBook reader weighs only 8.7 ounces, so it is definitely lighter than its predecessor. This lighter, faster and cheaper Kindle Wi-Fi does come with Wi-Fi connectivity as compared to similarly priced and stand-alone e readers which need to be connected to a PC for you to get your ebooks and other content. This new Kindle, also called by many gadger lovers as Kindle 3, has the same 6 in screen area for reading, but is thinner than its previous models. Amazon.com stated that the Wi-Fi connectivity in the gadget is also very fast. At the pricing perpective, if Kindle were to be compared with the iPad, the Apple iPad is more expensive and costs around 9 to 0. Other e readers like the Sony Pocket eReader and the Borders Kobo are now priced at 9, making the new Kindle Wi-Fi the best value for your money, hands-down. The new device has a 6″ display like the old Kindle, but is the newer type of E-ink display found in the Kindle DX Graphite. Not impressed with the upgrades, but the price is really very attractive now.
The $139 Wi-Fi version was unexpected for me. I should have waited. Well anyway, even at $189 for the previous model, I can’t complain much as the value is superb.
