Can I put e-books from my computer in Nook E-book Reader?

I currently looking for a good e-book reader.While searching,I found this e-book reader:Nook(I have a link with it lower)

But I don’t want to buy it if it wants me to buy only e-books from Barnes and Noble.I want to put e-books from my computer in it.Can I do this?Can I put .pdf e-books from my computer in it?

Yes, the Nook can read PDF from your computer. You can see in the lower right hand corner of "supported file types":
