Can you put a Word document on a sony e-book reader?

Okay so i wrote a book, unpublished as of yet, but i was wondering if, before i buy one, you can put just normal word documents onto the sony e-book reader. anyone have any insight for me?

    However, I’ll suggest you to have the Amazon Kindle if you’re considering to buy an ebook reader. Not only the Kindle can read Word document, but also it can give you much wider selection of content. I remember I read these reviews when I decided to get my Kindle 2:

    And in case you don’t know, Amazon has put a price slash on the Kindle 2 and it is now $100 cheaper than the price I got mine. So it is definitely a better buy.
