Is there any way to open a Word or PDF file on a cell phone? I want to use my phone for a e-book reader.?

I have a Sony Ericcson w300i and I would like to be able to use it as an e-book reader if possibe. I would even be open to buying software if it’s available but would prefer free. Thanks!
