What type of wireless router do I need?

The market for routers is very confusing with various types and price ranges. I have a broadband connection that is about 4 Mbps max. If I wanted to use a laptop, Kindle eBook reader, wireless printer, and possibly a Kindle Fire and TV in the future what should I look for? Any recommendations?
