why can we not purchase books for sony e-reader in canada, is it because of our dollar?

Most new books ( written ssince 1992) are available only in usa, since end of March my e-reader is useless, so if there is anyone trying to decide between Sony and Kindel, go Kendel. You may pay a little more but in the long run you will be able to use your purchase.

I agree with you so much. Sony doesn’t do well on selection of their ebooks, may be they have too many market to get involve in. The Amazon Kindle store has the best selection of ebooks right now, I think one of the reasons is their expertise in book market.
